How did I get into sales?
I was born in Canada, but we moved back to Syria when I was very young because my dad was a successful professor there. Life was good until 2012, when the war forced us to return to Canada and start over from scratch. I was only 12 years old, and while I had big dreams, I knew my parents were struggling to rebuild our lives. My father couldn't replicate his successful career in Canada, and we lost everything we had in Syria
One of the few things my dad could afford was a bicycle. It might seem like a small gesture, but that bicycle became the seed of my future career. I flipped it for a better brand bike and realized I enjoyed the thrill of buying and selling. This simple start marked the beginning of my sales journey.
At 12 years old, my dad and I began flipping bikes together. In just one year, we made over $30,000 in sales, with $12,000 in profit. This experience taught me valuable lessons about entrepreneurship, negotiation, and the power of determination.
As I grew older, I took on various side gigs, always looking for opportunities to hone my sales skills. By the time I turned 17, I landed a role as a brand ambassador for Karma Casting, where I started selling consumer products. This role solidified my passion for sales and set the foundation for my future, and the rest, as they say, is in my resume.
